Reviewer's notes

dining at scratch has completely changed the way i view brunch spots. i was hesitant to try it at first because i found it too pricey for a sandwich, but they proved me wrong.

each order is good for 2–3 people. service was fast and excellent. the entire staff perfectly matches the salcedo vibe. there's usually a long line, but it starts to die down around 2pm.

what we ordered:
meatballs - 4/5
mortadella - 3.5/5
sausage & egg - 4.5/5

i don’t usually eat meatballs or pesto, but their version of both completely converted me. ang sarap! the meatballs were juicy and tender, but the only issue i had was the tomato sauce, since i don’t really eat anything tomato-based (gerd probs 😤). i liked the pesto and honey in the mortadella, but the mortadella itself was a little too much.

personally, the sausage & egg was the highlight for me. the sausage was juicy with a hint of spice from the chili, but the steamed egg was to die for! 🤯

will def come back to try out the other items on the menu!
