Restaurants that consistently score significantly above average. A recommendation to try.

Average Average

Restaurants with scores in the middle range. Decent option but nothing standout.

Poor Poor

Restaurants scoring significantly below average. Reviewers recommend looking elsewhere.

Not Enough Reviews Not Enough Data

Restaurants with very few reviews. Check back as more people review them.

How We Calculate Scores

Our scoring system is transparent and designed to prevent manipulation. We don't use simple averages because that would make scores easy to game.

User Influence: Not all reviews count equally. Users who review frequently and leave detailed, helpful feedback earn higher influence. Their ratings carry more weight in our calculations.

Recency Matters: Recent reviews have more influence than older ones. This gives restaurants a real opportunity to improve and lets diners know what the current experience is like.

Sample Size: A restaurant with 50 consistent reviews will have a more reliable score than one with just 2 perfect reviews. Our algorithm accounts for statistical significance.

Our Fairness Principles

  • No Paid Removal: We don't remove negative reviews for money or special treatment. Your experience matters more than a business's preference.
  • No Score Manipulation: We won't artificially boost or reduce any restaurant's score, regardless of payment.
  • Spam Prevention: We actively detect and neutralize fake reviews and coordinated review attacks.
  • User Accountability: Users who try to game the system through fake reviews or coordinated attacks lose their influence permanently.
