Ugly Duck Tapas & Rooftop Lounge

After climbing five* flights of stairs (with my sciatica, mind you), I can still say... it’s worth it! The food makes up for the workout. They also have outside seating for those who smoke, which is a plus. If you can, try going on a Sunday for dinner, there’s less crowd, so you can just relax, enjoy the food, and have the perfect setting to catch up with friends.

After going up 5 flights of stairs, you will be rewarded with grear food, great service and cool ambiance.

Ugly Duck is a great little rooftop spot with a host of beautiful food to try. I recommend going for dishes to share so that you can both/all enjoy everything.

Everything we had was superb, I thoroughly endorse the oyster sisig (best version of sisig I've tried in Manila so far), and the paella negra was also delicious and perfect for sharing.

If there's one thing you have to try, get the pork croquettes. Perfectly crispy, oozing with flavor and so moreish that you should definitely get the big size option.
