Food at The Grid, Rockwell is pretty expensive but this is one of the few stalls I would vouch for. My go-to is their Mapo Biang. Chewy, handmade biang noodles with Szechuan-style mapo tofu. The mapo sauce tastes authentic. It has that numbing spiciness from Szechuan peppers. It is pricey but for me, this is already at least 3 portions. I always have left-overs to bring home 😅

And because Mapo biang is my go-to, I end up not trying much of their other menu. But my new discovery (thanks mom again…

Atmosphere - it's inside a food court, albeit a high end one. Other diners will make it pleasant (or not).

One of the few places I'd recommend in The Grid. Everything else feels overpriced and not worth it. Pilya's Kitchen is delightful. Highly recommend their Cold Sesame Noodles, Smashed Cucumber and Cumin Noodles (Biang Biang).

Flavors are on point and wonderful. Be warned though, some of them might be a little spicy for those that aren't used to it, but that's what makes them …

A FAVORITE! My go-to spot whenever I’m in Rockwell. I absolutely love the dried cumin beef—it’s packed with flavor—and the beef noodle soup is always so comforting and satisfying.

had to wait more than 30 mins for this but it was worth it. both dishes look hella spicy but they werent at all! also, the noodles look similar to the one in beef noodle house but they taste very different. i am a big fan of cilantro and i was pleasantly surprised when i tasted it in the noodles. noods > dumplings imo but would come back to try other dishes
