Matcha Later

I won't say they have the best matcha because taste is subjective - but for me this is now my favorite matcha spot 😊

They are a slowbar so expect limited seating and to wait outside if the seating is full. No reservations, no takeout. Walk ins only. Kinda annoying people kept coming in asking if there's space when clearly there's a line outside of the door haha.

Come 15 minutes earlier than their opening if you want a seat at their bar. Small, cozy place but the matcha is fantastic!!

Owner prepares ceremonial grade matcha sourced from Uji, Kyoto.

The matcha and hojicha lattes were very aromatic and they tasted smooth and elegantly with a fine texture. There were no offensive after taste.

Highly recommended.

Update: Came back for the Hojichamisu. They describe it as Kyoto’s style of tiramisu. I loved it. Apparently it is supposedly served not cold.

Otherwise, I highly recommend it. The roasted tea is so good with the cream.

Small matcha cafe, i love the music here! I got the tea with roasted brown rice, i forgot the name. But i got it iced! No need for gum syrup! It tastes perfect 10/10

Also, an eventful day for me, only the staff in this store will know what happened that day. Crazy crazy

Most authentic matcha I’ve had! Super quality over quantity kind of place. The ambiance is very “Japandi”! Highly recommend that you go early as it’s a super small place and you might have to wait in line (as in opening pa lang Monday may pila na…)
