Hermanos Tapas and Wine Bar

Food was phenomenal. Didn't expect much for a filipino tapas restaurant, but it was better than most tapas weve had in Spain. We started with the tomato on bread (not it's proper name), which was a lovely starter and only got better from there. We then had gambas in oil, not the tiger ones, they were the best with the best sauce, just kept mopping it up. First day in Coron, we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We saw this place right across where we were coming out from our foot massage..who would have thought there would be a great Spanish tapas restaurant on this island!? This place is such a gem!

We ordered the cashew spinach, pollo blanco, rabas de calamares, stuffed dynamite (fried green chillies stuffed with mozarella and paprika)..except for the calamari which is pretty average (not that it's not good but just nothing to shout about), everything else was outstanding! There is a charming wine bar located on a busy main street, which is a great place to escape from the heat, thanks to its excellent indoor air conditioning.

We ordered some tapas to share, and the portions were just perfect, as we weren't too hungry. However, the dishes were a bit too salty for our taste. The wine list had great choices, but the prices were on the higher side. The service was decent as well, but it would be nicer if they offered free water.

Absolutely loved our meal at Hermanos! We arrived around 6PM, so just before the dinner rush. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the pollo blanco and the lemon grass fish. I even rolled my leftover rice into the pot of the pollo blanco to get all the cream sauce! Staff was highly attentive, restaurant was clean and air-conditioned. Definitely a must-try!

Food is pricey, which would be fine if the quality matched the price. Service was just okay.

Had a cosmopolitan and half the drink was ice. Like, seriously? Food was similar, tried half a dozen different things. Spinach with cashews was the best. Shrimp was over cooked and you got 8 small shrimp for ~500 pesos. Food wasn't terrible, but not nearly good enough for the prices.

The one thing that's nice is the atmosphere and they do have an AC area which is nice too.
