Tucked away along Katipunan Avenue in White Plains, Toka Wine is the kind of spot that feels like a secret worth sharing. It’s both a wine shop and a wine bar, home to over 200 bottles from small producers around the world. The focus here is on classic, natural, organic, and small-production wines, making it approachable whether you’re new to wine or already deep into the world of terroirs and vintages.
The space itself is low-key and intimate, inspired by the chic wine bars of Paris, Spain, and Portugal. The no-frills design lets the food and wine shine, while the revolving guest chef series “Will Host” keeps things fresh and interesting. It’s easygoing, welcoming, and the kind of place you’ll want to return to—whether for brunch, an afternoon graze, or a slow dinner with a bottle to share.
Brunch at Toka
We came for brunch, and it’s safe to say the food more than delivered.
Local crab and spinach omelette with crab fat crema
Fluffy and rich, with the sweetness of crab folded into every bite. The crab fat crema added a velvety depth that made the dish feel indulgent yet balanced.

Grilled cheese with ‘nduja and pineapple jam
A comforting bite with gooey cheese, smoky ‘nduja, and sweet pineapple jam. I was expecting more heat from the ‘nduja and found myself wishing it had more of a kick. After posting about it, the owner messaged me on Instagram asking for my thoughts and promised they’d be making it spicier next time—which makes me excited to come back and try it again.

Glazed Kelvin’s bacon slab with fried egg and potatoes
A showstopper—thick-cut bacon glazed to a caramelized edge, savory and just sweet enough. Paired with crisp potatoes and a runny egg, it was hearty, satisfying, and done just right.

Why We’ll Be Back
The brunch dishes made a strong impression—rich, comforting, and memorable without trying too hard. Pair that with a thoughtful wine list and a warm, understated vibe, and Toka Wine becomes one of those places you’ll want to keep in rotation.
After our meal, it left us curious about what dinner here would be like with a bottle of wine in hand. If brunch is anything to go by, it’s worth coming back for more.
