The Magic Table: Where Illusion Meets Fine Dining at Grand Hyatt Manila
It’s dinner, but not as you know it.
At Grand Hyatt Manila’s rooftop venue The Peak, an exclusive media preview offered Manila a first taste of The Magic Table — a dining experience that blurs the line between illusion and gastronomy. Created by world-famous mentalist duo The Clairvoyants, the concept pairs five courses with feats of mind-reading and magic, inviting guests to question what’s real, what’s imagined, and what’s deliciously in between.
A Taste of the Impossible
From the moment guests stepped into the transformed lobby, the evening hinted that nothing would unfold as expected. A tarot-inspired welcome greeted each guest with a matching “Spellbinding Signature” cocktail — their first cue that this was no ordinary dinner.
The Peak Bar team conjured up exclusive drinks designed for the launch:
- The Golden Charm, a silky, milk-washed blend of rum, strawberry, and lime;
- Mystic Eye, a clarified mix of vodka, Midori, pineapple, and cucumber; and
- Magic Mist, a vibrant gin cocktail with butterfly-pea infusion topped with prosecco.
Each glass carried a sense of wonder — theatrical, colorful, and yet thoughtfully crafted to taste like something enchanted.
Dinner, Disguised
Once guests were ushered to the rooftop, a short film introduced The Magic Table’s vision: a full-length dinner where every dish conceals an illusion.

Thommy Ten, one half of The Clairvoyants and a finalist on America’s Got Talent, took the stage solo, blending mentalism, sleight of hand, and humor in a tightly choreographed act that left guests grinning in disbelief.
The preview featured dishes that doubled as performances:
- Caviar-topped marble potatoes that looked indistinguishable from the real stones surrounding them,
- Scallops arranged on a bed of edible seashells, and
- Charred broccoli camouflaged among lumps of “coal.”
Even a surprise appearance from their canine co-star, Coney, added whimsy to the night’s illusions.
A Glimpse into What’s Next
While the full two-hour dinner will debut in January 2026, the preview was enough to leave guests spellbound — part dinner, part mind-bending theater. The experience promises to be a first for Manila: immersive dining that marries culinary artistry with stage magic, designed to engage every sense.
“It’s not just a show you watch,” one attendee said. “You’re part of it — and that’s where the magic happens.”
With its Hong Kong launch earlier this month and Manila premiere to follow, The Magic Table looks set to redefine what a night out can mean — transforming the act of eating into something entirely surreal.
